Still in progress or unresolved
A collection of different artwork that i am still currently working on, or feel like they cant be resolved.
After a few blind drawing exercise, I really enjoyed the ruff lines and paint application that came of it, I liked the layers and movement it creates. which is completely different from how I use to paint in unit1, which was solid lines and paint. This piece is still in progress, and just as I had tried to expand the boundaries of the canvas by continuing the story with ceramic sculptures in my , I am trying to do it again here. I also added another element, which is a layer of paper underneath the ceramic pieces.

untitled. acrylic paint, pen, pencil on canvas.
ceramic sculpture and paper.

I started this piece in the summer at the studio spaces provided by Camberwell in Milbank. I didn't like where its going. So I left it as is.

lemons,
Work in progress
As the year is coming to an end, I chose to recycle my old painting from Unit 1 and use it in unit 3.
More information on process in the critical reflection.

Although the finish piece is included in the gallery, I though to include the deferent stages it went through, as I consider all of these unresolved.
More about this piece in the critical reflection section.

I'm happy to say that this is a commissioned piece, creating it for the UAL Art Collection team at the Archives and Special Collections Centre, which is at LCC.
Each year they receive recommendations for stand-out graduates’ work from across the UAL colleges and after reviewing each on a case-by-case basis, purchase a small selection of those.

acrylic paint on canvas
Fully dried and ready for its first firing.
Made of 3 ceramic pieces. A morphed fruit sculpture, it sits inside a broken shell.
I plan to paint the shell as a watermelon.
this is a finished piece in terms of building, all of whats left is painting.
